I was a weird kid. Not like, put spaghetti on my head during dinner just to get a laugh weird; more like asking my mom random questions that she didn't see coming weird. Take for example, the time I asked her what semen was.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Please help us better understand young people's attitudes and activities as it relates to their overall social and emotional health and register to participate in the Illinois Youth Survey. The information that is captured is extremely valuable in making sure our young people are receiving the programming that is crucial to their overall health. 

   

MEET THE TEAM

Daniel Delgado

Health Educator

Daniel joined the Candor Health Education team in 2022 as a full-time Health Educator. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from Northeastern Illinois University, with a Minor in Exercise Science. During his time at Northeastern, he was able to intern for the Senior Project Manager of Health and Wellness at the Chicago Park District. After graduating, Daniel was a Public Health Ambassador in the southwest region of the Chicago Department of Public Health’s Healthy Chicago Equity Zones initiative. As a Public Health Ambassador, he worked as a community lead in the Clearing and West Lawn neighborhoods of Chicago to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities through community outreach, engagement, and health education. Daniel is a strong believer that health education is an integral part of promoting lifelong, healthy habits that lead to positive health outcomes and a higher quality of life. He is also a strong believer in nutrition and physical activity, and has spent many years coaching youth and high school football.
