Community Newsletter - September 2021

We know we all mourn the loss of summer break but we are excited to start a great school year!

There are some exciting things that we've finalized over the summer and can't wait to work with all of our parents, communities and school partners this year. You'll be receiving more detailed information in the future but here are a couple of important items:

  • Our Life Begins program has been completely updated to follow our blended learning approach including pre & post tests, eLearning, and the data you need to see growth...but also, the name has changed to HUMAN REPRODUCTION & EMBRYOLOGY!
  • We've added a second program to compliment our Teen Sexual Health I program. The new program, Teen Sexual Health II, covers topics like sexting, setting boundaries, and much more.

Virtual Sex Education Program Created 'For Teens by Teens'

Aspen Daily News

When high schoolers feel they’re only scratching the surface of a subject, it’s not every day that they’ll fill the void themselves and take their education into their own hands. Three recent graduates from the valley decided to advocate for their peers and create a more comprehensive sex education and healthy relationships curriculum.

This semester, Roaring Fork School District high school students will have the option to take an online course known as Causewell for a health credit. Causewell was created “for teens by teens,” according to the organization’s recent press release.
